A BIG fashion retailer has confirmed further store closures, with some set to close in days.
M&Co will close the shutters on 43 other sites by the end of this month.
It comes after the brand fell into administration last year and announced the closure of all of its 170 stores.
Teneo administrators have put the bankrupt company up for sale with a bidding deadline for interested buyers.
The M&Co brand and intellectual property were sold to Yours Clothing, but the stores were not and are about to close.
So far, 51 M&Co locations have already disappeared from the high street.
The Sun can now reveal the exact dates when another 43 stores will close permanently.
The closures were confirmed on each store’s Facebook page.
One of the shops closing is in Alnwick, he posted: “It is with great sadness to say that M&Co Alnwick will be closing on Saturday 22nd April.
“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to ALL OUR CUSTOMERS who have supported us through this difficult time.”
While another in Bexhill wrote: ‘Please keep supporting us until we close as we would love to see you and serve you till the end.’
Teneo, the administrator of M&Co, had previously said more shops would begin to disappear from the high street as store stocks dried up.
But the admin wouldn’t provide an exact date when he expects the brand to completely leave the high street.
M&Co has held a huge 30-60% closing sale in stores in recent months to help clear remaining stock.
Buyers must act quickly to take advantage of discounts because once items are sold, they are permanently lost.
And remember that you might find that your nearest store doesn’t have what you want in stock.
You can find the nearest M&Co store by visiting the retailer’s website and using the store finder.
