Billie Faiers has complained about her nightmarish flight home from the Maldives with her four-month-old baby Margot.

The TV personality flew on the luxury break with husband Greg and three children, but revealed the trip back to the UK wasn’t quite as relaxing.

She said she was told the only bassinet for the entire flight was broken and she had to give the seat to someone else as they had reserved extra legroom.

Billie revealed: ‘So I had to hold Margot for 12 hours – Greg and mum helped too. I just thought “please don’t do this to me”.

The mother-of-three admitted on The Sam and Billie podcast which she hosts with her sister Sam that she also struggled as Margot had to have her diaper changed five times.

She admitted it wasn’t an ideal situation at all because Margot is a restless baby – but they had no choice.

Billie, who also has Nellie and Arthur, has previously taken Margot to Dubai and has previously revealed that long-haul flights with her can be “intense”.

It comes after her sister Sam came under fire in February after she complained about her ‘exhausting’ holiday in Abu Dhabi and her ‘difficult’ first class flight home.

The influencer, 32, spent a week in the United Arab Emirates on a family vacation with her sister Billie and mother Suzie on a PR holiday to publicize the country through her social media posts.

After spamming her 2.5 million followers with bikini snaps on golden beaches and glimpses of her luxury hotel, Sam’s post on her flight home got a noticeable change of pace.

Sharing a selfie cradling her nine-month-old son Edward in first-class seats, she highlighted how “difficult” it had been for her and partner Paul Knightley to go on vacation with their baby son Paul, seven years old, and their daughter Rosie, five years old.

She began: “The truth is, going on holiday with young children is hard, especially with a crawling and teething baby.”

Sam continued: “We had a wonderful time in the sun, swimming every day, exploring, sightseeing and eating lots of ice cream, but it’s exhausting, remember no one said it was easy.”

“As for the flight home, Edward slept maybe 1 in 7.5 hours safe to say I was doing everything I could to entertain him without crying.”

Not impressed: The post immediately annoyed his followers who were quick to point out that the post sounded tone deaf as many grappled with a cost of living crisis

She then thanked the “accommodating and kind” Etihad Airways staff who helped her when she felt “embarrassed” about flying with a baby.

Yet the post immediately riled her followers who were quick to point out that the post sounded tone deaf as many grappled with a cost of living crisis.

Other fans noted that it would have been harder to fly economy class and asked Sam to “read the part” and be aware of his “privilege”.

They commented: “This post is wrong, you are very privileged to travel business/first class and I recognize that you work hard, but to post this to say how difficult it is to travel with 3 children is not representative of all your lovely followers, who imagine I traveled with young children in economy class where up to the age of 2 didn’t even have their own seat;

‘just be thankful you weren’t in economics!’; ‘I don’t know how you are doing in business!’; ‘Yeah really hard when you’re in first class seats’; “Oh shut the fuck up about living so hard about staying in fancy hotels”;

‘maybe try to do it in economy where most of your followers would be then you’ll know it’s hard’; ‘My heart bleeds. Read the room Sam. The rest of us are exhausted from living through a cost of living crisis. [sic]’

Sam also received support from followers who noted that caring for young children is difficult in any environment.

They wrote, “Looks like you had a great time, people are jealous of you, too bad”; ‘whatever your class we choose babies and children are babies and children wherever they are but it’s good to see that money doesn’t always bring happiness it’s good to see reality ‘;

“People have a grip if they want to pay their money, they can steal any seat they want.

“The message is about theft in general and the occupation of children etc. [sic].’

The mother-of-three was quick to edit the post after the backlash, turning off the comments and changing the caption to read: ‘Home sweet home ❤️ @etihad @visitabudhabi #findyourpace #inabudhabi #ad ✈️.’

It’s not the first time Sam has found herself in hot water on a flight, after being scolded by British Airways staff for being too loud during a trip to New York with her mother and sister. .
