Joey Essex and Vanessa Bauer have parted ways, a month after finishing second in Dancing On Ice.
The pair, who performed together on the last series of the ITV show, have not seen each other since the grand finale, which took place on Sunday March 12.
Viewers saw the couple bond earlier this year while filming the show, where they narrowly missed being crowned champions by Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson and his professional partner Olivia Smart.
This week Vanessa, 26, claimed she was ‘very happy’ with Joey, 32, when asked about their romance, but MailOnline can exclusively reveal the couple are no longer dating and have not been spending time together since the series ended last month.
Their split comes as Joey plans an overseas move to Dubai and is in the process of viewing properties where he can relocate and start a new life away from Essex.
A source said: “Joey absolutely loved his time with Vanessa on Dancing On Ice – he will treasure those memories forever.”
“But for now he is focusing on job opportunities and starting a new chapter in Dubai.
“He’s definitely single and although Vanessa means a lot to him because of the experience they shared on the show, they’re just friends now.
“Joey has a busy life and career and at the moment his main priority is his move, which will be a drastic change for him.”
Vanessa was asked about her relationship with the former TOWIE star this week, revealing “me and Joey are doing great, we’re doing great right now”, adding “I’m very happy”.
But in reality, the couple haven’t spoken since the Dancing On Ice finale due to their busy work schedules and for Joey, a lifestyle change as he begins his search for property in Dubai.
The couple’s chemistry became a talking point during Dancing On Ice with even hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield commenting on their connection.
Their partnership saw them reach the final and dance the Bolero, while drag queen The Vivienne, who finished in third place, couldn’t share their take on the famous routine.
They were beaten to the title by Nile, who had impressed throughout the series and consistently claimed the top spot in the standings.
It was revealed on Thursday that Joey was leaving Britain after a burglary at his Essex mansion left him feeling “in danger”.
Burglars struck last year and the incident is believed to have sparked an overseas move search for Joey, who rose to prominence 12 years ago on the TOWIE reality series.
In January last year, Joey was ‘horrified’ and ‘shaken’ after looters ransacked his £3million home while he was out with friends.
The TV star, who has also appeared in the I’m A Celeb and Channel 4 series The Jump, previously showed her abode by filming MTV’s Cribs in 2019.
He flaunted his many walk-in closets, bed with his name embellished on the headboard and swimming pool, as well as his master bedroom with en-suite bathroom.
