Johnny Depp’s first wife, Lori Allison, has called Amber Heard “awful” following the couple’s defamation lawsuit.

Lori married Johnny in 1983, when he was only 20 and she was 25, the couple divorced two years later.

Yet the couple remained close, with Lori revealing that seeing him in court “broke her heart” and that she was “terrified” that he would lose.

While Lori has stayed away from the spotlight to respect Johnny’s privacy wishes, she hasn’t been shy about sharing her feelings about the legal battle.

Speaking on Popcorned Planet, the 65-year-old makeup artist rolled her eyes when asked how she felt seeing ‘she who will not be named making all these accusations and putting him to the test.

Lori revealed, “I’d met her before, been to parties at his house and she seemed really sweet and she was gorgeous and what’s not to love?”

“But as time went on and I heard things about her – she who won’t be named – he didn’t seem too happy the whole time. I didn’t see him much so I can’t really say.

“The things that affected me the most were the things he said in court – I probably snapped a few times because I felt really bad for him.

“He’s very private – that’s why I don’t do interviews – and I think for him that was what he really had to do.

“I thought it would either be an epic train wreck or it would turn out really well.”

Appearing to refer to Isaac Baruch, one of Johnny’s closest friends who testified on his behalf in court, Lori continued: ‘I would call Isaac sometimes and say “what’s going on, is he okay?”

And he said “don’t worry, we’re going to win this” and I was literally hanging up the phone and walking around crying because I was terrified for him.

“I think it would have killed him, well maybe not, but it broke my heart that someone could do this to him.”

“I’m no angel, I’ve done my share of naughty things to people, but what she did was absolutely awful and if there were things I could do to her that were illegal, I would do them. ! I would like.’

Later in the chat, Lori was full of kind words for her ex, admitting she has fond memories of their time together.

She said: “He’s really generous, he has the biggest heart of anyone I’ve ever met. I love him to bits and have goofy eyes when I think of him and his future, our past.

“I want nothing but the best for him and I hope he feels the same for me!”

‘Can I speak ill of him? I can speak ill of everyone but there is no reason to. He makes normal mistakes like the others.

“But again, he’s generous, kind and I can’t wait to be in a room with him again because I love hugging him.”

In 2016 Amber, 36, accused Johnny of domestic abuse and the actor lost a UK defamation case after suing The Sun for calling him a ‘wife beater’.

The star was later blacklisted by much of Hollywood, leading to the loss of movie roles.

Still, after Johnny’s 2022 libel lawsuit against Amber, the star has regained Hollywood’s attention.

A jury determined that Amber’s allegations, which appeared in a Washington Post op-ed in 2018, against Johnny were defamatory and she was ordered to pay the actor $15 million in damages.

Johnny was ordered to pay Amber $2 million by the same courtroom after Heard sued for defamation.

The actress filed a lawsuit in early December, but the former couple recently reached an agreement that Amber would pay $1 million to settle the case instead of heading to a third trial.
