They’ve spent their hard-earned cash renovating their lavish £3.5million Essex mansion.
Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan took to their dedicated home Instagram page on Sunday to give fans a peek at their huge, opulent wraparound sofa, with Mark writing, “Scattered throw pillows finish our living room couch off perfectly.”
The couple’s large living room featured white painted walls and a chandelier that stood out in the photos.
But it was the couch that caught fans’ attention, with their followers all saying the same thing about the celebrity duo’s furniture choice.
While many of actress Michelle and TV presenter Mark’s loyalists were impressed with the finish of the piece, many insisted it looked too perfect, adding that they would spend a eternity to inflate the many cushions of the sofa if they lived there.
One person wrote in the comments section: ‘Perfection but it’s not living, won’t want to sit on the couch lest it ruin it’. Every house should be a house, not a show.
“Sounds beautiful but I would put pillows right in my sleep,” someone else posted.
Another follower wrote, “This is a lorra pillow to inflate before bed. It looks gorgeous.
While someone else remarked, “And who has time to go karate abound chopping a million cushions every day.”
Someone else joked: “Gorgeous!!! When you have kids you will have to put plastic wraps on the sofas.
Another follower commented, “It’s beautiful but no more basic than a showroom,” while someone else shared, “Gorgeous but it looks uninhabited.”
Mark and Michelle proudly showed off their lavish new his and hers bathroom earlier this year.
A stunning shot of the new room showed off an immaculate floating vanity in a marble finish with two gold sinks and large mirrors.
Mark also showed off his new high-tech bedroom, with the couple splashing about on a bespoke bed with a pull-down TV.
Sharing a clip on Instagram, he wrote: “One of our favorite things about our house is the view from our bedroom. Wasn’t going to block that with a TV…. But we need a TV in our room…. Soooo Simon @clarkeinfinity had this fantastic idea!’
The TOWIE star and former soap star Michelle moved into their stunning home in September last year.
They bought the house in October 2019 for £1.3million and documented the renovation process via Instagram.
Mark has already taken to Instagram to share a slew of snaps from inside the lavish home.
He broke up the modern dining room, with a round marble table and comfortable beige sheepskin chairs.
Above the table was an extravagant light fixture made of gold pipes and delicate glass globes.
The dining room was surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows, letting in tons of natural light.
Other photos showed off the couple’s modern color palette, opting for neutral tones of beige and cream throughout the home.
Mark photographed several pieces of sculpture, including two round urns, an intricate gold statue and a sculpture of a female figure.
A sideboard contained photographs of the couple on their wedding day in 2015, accompanied by two cream lamps.
The greige walls were decorated with two large abstract paintings with golden highlights for an added touch of style.
A final shot showed another extravagant light fixture made of vertical copper pipes.
The latest revelation comes after Mark’s father, Mark Wright Sr, shared a video of their home built a few months ago showing off the stunning exterior of the house and annex.
In the clip, Mark can be heard saying that his father was a project manager on the build.
Underneath the Instagram clip shared this week, the reality star and TV host said the pad was his and Michelle’s “dream home”.
‘Crushed him. Created our dream home,” he wrote on Instagram.
Her father captioned the post: “All the hard work is now done so all sing and dance now.”
In the clip, his dad could be seen and Mark said, “There’s the boss, dad.” He makes the boys work, he is responsible for all that.
He added: “He worked hard last year. He made us proud for sure. The roof is on the annex, the cameramen on the roof, but that’s what I like to see.
Due to various Covid-19 lockdowns and restrictions, construction was halted after a farmhouse was demolished and construction began on a five-bedroom mansion complete with bar, gym, granny’s annex and outdoor pool.
Building experts estimated that demolishing and rebuilding the house cost around £3.5 million.
The couple won planning approval for the massive construction project in January 2020 – and it took more than two years before the couple moved on.
They hosted their very first Christmas at their house in December.
The former TOWIE star, 35, looked suave in all black while her actress partner, also 35, showcased her enviable physique in a blue striped bodycon dress with sleeves.
Carrying their dogs Pip and Phoebe for the snap, posted on Instagram by her sister Natalya, they were joined by relatives including Mark’s mother Carol and father Mark, as well as sister Jess and her husband William Lee-Kemp .
After moving into their dream home in October, the couple pulled out all the stops for their decorations, even putting them up early in late November.
