Sui Airdrop rumors have been swirling in the lead-up to its Mainnet launch

Rekt Fencer, a crypto influencer and maker of X DAO, recently teased Sui airdrop on Twitter. However, others in the crypto community say Fencer’s claims are nonsense.

Adeniyi Abiodun of Mysten Lab responded by denying reports of any Sui airdrops while previously acknowledging user “bounties” in a Twitter Spaces discussion.

Does a SUI airdrop happen?

Fencer asserts that Sui’s airdrops may outpace its main competitor, Aptos. The cryptocurrency influencer research was based on the fact that SUI raised $336 million from major venture capital firms while Aptos raised $350 million in total.

Fencer expects that 20% of the offering will be made to early shareholders because SUI needs to differentiate itself from its technology competitors and raise similar funds.

Although the current airdrop plans were to rejectSui airdrops are not out of the question, especially given that airdrops have the potential to drive mass adoption and network traffic. This may be a network stress test before the main network is deployed.

To be selected for the airdrop, Fencer advises joining the project’s newly formed ambassador program while minting and collecting NFTs. The program supports the organization’s content production, community interaction, and creative projects.

Meanwhile, Abiodon answered to the thread by saying, “Stop spreading shit. There is no normal airdrop. It is not planned or ever will be.”

Another user quickly pointed to Abiodun’s recent discussion exchange on Twitter Spaces. Abiodun said in the chat that he selected several community members who will receive deeply discounted admission to the Community Access Program for members outside the United States. The CEO stated that alternative bonuses were being planned for US citizens.

A second Twitter user hinted that it was about “cultivating engagement.” Sui announced its premium distribution in December last year. At the time, it was said that Sui enthusiasts could purchase them directly through the Community Access Program without participating in the Foundation’s software.
