Currently only 8.2% of Polygon’s titles can sell MATIC at a profit. Will the downward trend continue?
88% of MATIC owners are “out of money”
The vast majority of Polygon addresses are currently in a losing position, with around 88% of them facing potential losses if they were to sell MATIC tokens at the current market price.
On the contrary, only about 8.22% of the titles will generate a profit, while approximately 3.58% will break even.
The total number of polygon titles is still in an upward trend
The total number of Polygon addresses continues to rise, indicating continued growth, although the rate of increase is showing signs of stabilizing.

Over the past 30 days, approximately 565,000 MATIC titles have been registered.
The number of active addresses decreased again
In the past seven days, there has been a decrease of approximately 7.8% in the number of active addresses on the Polygon network. In addition, the number of MATIC addresses without any transactions decreased by about 24% over the same period.

However, there was a positive development, with an increase of approximately 18.7% in the number of new addresses created.
The mood on Telegram remains positive
Sentiment surrounding Polygon on Telegram seems to be mostly positive, with nearly five times more positive messages than negative ones.

The number of positive Telegram messages about Polygon is around 410, compared to around 90 negative messages. However, it should be noted that there has been a significant decrease in the number of Telegram users since 2021.
MATIC withdrawals from stock exchanges exceed deposits
Over the past 24 hours, an excess of nearly 200,000 MATIC has been deposited on exchanges, indicating a higher inflow than outflow.
However, this differs from the trend observed in the past 37 days, where approximately 3.82 million more MATIC tokens, equivalent to about $15.7 million USD, were withdrawn from exchanges than deposited.

When coins are withdrawn from exchanges instead of being deposited, this indicates a decrease in selling pressure and a tightening of token supply. Therefore, this can be considered a bullish indicator of price development.
15% of Polygon’s offering is in the hands of retail investors
The distribution of the circulating polygon symbols reveals an interesting pattern. Specifically, a notable concentration of property among a small number of large investors.
About 80 titles take up about 16.89% of the total supply. The holdings of these addresses range from 0.1% to 1% of the total tokens. This focus highlights the impact these large investors have on the Polygon ecosystem.

Close examination of the Polygon ecosystem reveals a large presence of whales. Whales refer to addresses that contain more than 1% of the total MATIC volume. One of these addresses owns 37.7% of the total supply. While eight other addresses collectively control 30.2% of the coins.
These whales account for approximately 67.9% of the MATIC supply, leaving only about 15.21% for retail investors. With nearly 90% of addresses in the red, ownership of the token appears to be highly concentrated among institutional investors and whales.
Therefore, the success of their long-term investment strategy is still uncertain, as their current gains seem limited.
