Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin finds that while ChatGPT is limited, it exposes hobbyists to software libraries they can use to craft more meaningful answers.
ChatGPT exposes Buterin Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to calculate how the distance between two points relates to the travel time between them.
An artificial intelligence (AI) bot helped Buterin write a script to access publicly available data from GeoLife and calculate the distance between two points using the Google Maps API.
She also helped Buterin write the code to generate a time-distance pair scatter plot on the first try and wrote himself a script to interpret the GeoLife data.
However, the bot was unable to provide any APIs for calculating the optimal route, including flights, between two points more than 500 km apart.
Computers interpret commands into a script and execute them instantly without having to compile them in high-level programming languages like Solidity. Solidity compilers, for example, can convert human-readable smart contract code into ones and zeros that the Ethereum Virtual Machine can understand.
Artificial intelligence can benefit traders
Vitalik Buterin an experience He reveals that while AI tools like ChatGPT can fail to produce accurate answers instantly, they can speed up the development of customized tools that traders can take advantage of.
San Francisco-based master broker FalconX recently announced a new AI tool called Satoshi for providing trading advice. The tool will assist users in using software based trading strategies based on a particular portfolio or market scenario. It uses a large language AI training model similar to ChatGPT. The tool is still in its infancy.
Like Buterin, traders can have ChatGPT write matching scripts for their strategies. For example, a trader can actually use the tool to show you the steps of a specific stock trading strategy. The trader can then choose to implement the plan in a script or ask the tool to do so.
In December of last year, Michael King, an award-winning AI writer and trader, used ChatGPT to generate a script for BTCUSDT trading on Binance. The AI tool provided the API functionality I needed to place a market buy order above the minimum on Binance.

However, as in the case of Satoshi in its current form, ChatGPT itself cannot explain complex or unpredictable market conditions. Traders should also be aware of AI hallucinations, where a fallacy is convincingly presented as fact.
Also, Buterin male ChatGPT may sometimes produce incorrect results based on the words used in a query.
Therefore, interpreting whether the trading script results are correct requires minimal coding experience.
