With 700 regular customers to its name and nearly £100,000 in forward bookings, Airlink Travel is for sale due to the retirement of its owners, who started the business 33 years ago.

Describing the business as an “exceptional travel and transport services opportunity”, the agent said Airlink offered general travelers airport and cruise transfers, as well as valuable long-term transport contracts. for schools, the Department of Defense and trailer support to groups and teams. of cyclists, as well as private rental transport to and from sporting events, weddings and “even the odd stag and hen night”.
“Even a simple local taxi service is offered, as conventional private taxis are rarely available in the area. There is a real shortage of 16 seater minibus services available in the East Riding of Yorkshire and Hull areas, leaving a huge opportunity for younger and more ambitious owners to really enjoy a job that the current owner often has to refuse, unfortunately.
“The Airlink Travel name is hugely well known and highly respected, although a modernist approach to promoting it further, especially through social media, would prove hugely rewarding. Most appealing to any potential buyer is the Forward Booking Log , which, for example, already represents an expected income of £80,000 to £100,000 over the period of just five months from August to December.
The owner, although wishing to retire, said he was ready to help the new owners for a transitional period, and even to continue working two or three days a week if necessary.
A “substantial” house, outbuildings and a garage/workshop are available as part of the sale, if a new owner wants the whole property and business in one package – the stock of vehicles will be sold in more than the asking price.
The main property is a greatly extended semi-detached house, set in approximately 0.57 acres. It has three double bedrooms, two reception rooms (each with its own integrated veranda), a kitchen and a large family bathroom.
In addition to the main house, there is a detached double brick garage, with a fully independent apartment above. The ground floor of the garage has been converted into an entertainment area, with a games room on one side and a gym on the other.
An additional one-story extension on a flat roof has been built, adding a hot tub to the property. “This is a perfect arrangement for a potential Airbnb vacation rental offering, with the prospect of making significant annual rental income,” the agent said. Further outbuildings and a large summer house are surrounded by landscaped and beautifully maintained gardens.
